Ark Swimwear is an Australian swimwear brand born in Manly on Sydney's Northern Beaches and built around refined silhouettes, considered construction and second-skin comfort.
Every piece is designed to frame the woman wearing it, not compete with her.
DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
The woman should be the focus.
The starting point for Ark has always been the woman wearing it.
Swimwear should never pull focus from her. It should frame the body, move comfortably and create the kind of confidence that comes from feeling at ease in your own proportions.
A bikini is built from very little, which is exactly why the cut matters so much. The rise of a brief, the width of a side, the curve of a top, the angle of a strap and the amount of coverage all change the way the body is held, balanced and seen.
For us, simplicity is not about making swimwear plain. It is about removing what does not need to be there, so the shape, the body and the woman can lead.
In swimwear, a trend is only useful when it works for your body. A higher waist, a lower hip, a tie side, a fixed side, a triangle, a bandeau or a one piece can all be beautiful when the shape is right. Choosing well is less about following the season and more about noticing what balances your proportions, feels comfortable and makes you stand a little differently when you put it on.
That is why Ark returns to clean silhouettes, restrained colours and considered cuts. The swimwear supports the woman. It does not compete with her.

Our Size + Fit Guide gives every Ark style its own page, with five real women of different shapes and sizes photographed from the front, side and back in each silhouette. The fit imagery is unretouched and sits alongside measurements, fit notes and campaign imagery, so you can compare rise, coverage, support and shape before choosing your own.
Use it to notice what matters to you: where you like a waist to sit, whether a tie or fixed side feels better, how much coverage you want, and which top gives you the support, tan line or simplicity you are looking for that day.
Once you know the Ark silhouettes that work for you, the rest becomes easier. Return to the same shapes in different colours, prints and moods, instead of starting again every season.

CONSTRUCTION + WEAR
Simple is not easy to make.
Ark pieces are designed to feel soft, clean and natural on the body, but that finish takes work.
Many of our seamless styles are made inside out and turned through a small opening, so the final piece is only revealed at the end. The fabric is soft and fluid, which means it has to be handled with care. The construction needs to be precise because there is very little to hide behind.
Where possible, we minimise exposed seams, so there is less stitching against the skin and less friction when you move. It is one of the reasons Ark pieces feel so smooth to wear.
Swimwear lives a hard life. Salt, chlorine, sunscreen, skin creams, heat, water and direct sunlight all take their toll. No swimwear lasts forever, but with the right care, Ark pieces are designed to stay in your rotation for years.
We design them to be worn often, not saved for one photo and forgotten: the pieces you reach for again, travel with, swim in, dry in the sun and keep choosing because they feel right every time.

Ark is built around silhouettes you can return to. A top and bottom do not have to come as a fixed set; you can choose the cut, size and coverage that feel right for your body, then build from there.

Every standard Ark order is packed as part of the full brand experience.
Pieces are packed in a white-on-white embossed matte gift box with a personalised note, with each piece wrapped inside a white cotton Ark bag. The box is designed to feel worth keeping - for jewellery, travel keepsakes or other small pieces you want close by.
A quality piece should feel considered before it is even tried on.
Today, Ark fulfils from our own spaces in Sydney and Dallas. Keeping fulfilment close allows us to care for the details that matter: how pieces are stored, checked, packed, sent and received. The brand began in Manly on Sydney's Northern Beaches and remains based on the Northern Beaches today, serving customers globally from fulfilment spaces in Sydney and Dallas.
